Calif. nail salons approved to reopen indoors

Nail salons in every California county will be allowed to reopen with modifications, California’s public health department announced.

California Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly held a news conference Tuesday where he gave an update on county changes in California’s new color-coded, tiered reopening system.

Before talking about the county tier changes, Ghaly announced that nail salons, regardless of which tier a county is in, now have the OK from the state to operate indoors with modifications, Ghaly said.

Individual counties may maintain more restrictive public health measures than the state.

Here’s more from KCRA.
