Prima Wawona auctions off over 1,000 pieces of equipment

The stone fruit giant is liquidating its equipment inventory as it works through its bankruptcy case.

Prima Wawona is liquidating its assets, auctioning off over 1,000 pieces of equipment and machinery over the following week.

The bankrupt company that was once the nation’s largest peach producer is selling its assets as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy case.

The big picture: Maltz Auctions is conducting an online-only public auction that started on Nov. 7 and runs through Nov. 14 at 9 a.m.

  • The deadline to register for the online auction is Nov. 12 at 4 p.m.
  • Bidders are required to register at least 24 hours prior to the end of the auction.
  • People interested in viewing the items in person can visit 11597 Avenue 408, Dinuba, on Nov. 11 through Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

What they’re saying: “Prior to the filing of their chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, the debtors were collectively the largest producer of stone fruit in North America, selling products under the Prima Wawona brand,” shared Richard Maltz, CEO of Maltz Auctions.

  • Maltz added, “There is truly something for everyone involved with farming and we are scheduling in-person viewings of more than 1000 pieces of major agricultural equipment and machinery plus road tractors as well as passenger, and commercial vehicles starting on November 11th, 12th, and 13th, at 11597 Avenue 408, in Dinuba, California.”
