The County of Fresno has reclaimed its title as the top agriculture-producing county in the nation, following the publication of all 2018 crop reports from the San Joaquin Valley.
The final county to report, Tulare, reported total agriculture production at $7.213 billion, about $600 million short of Fresno County’s total from the past year. The decline was led by the county’s top ag product: dairy milk.
Here’s how the counties broke down:
County | 2018 Ag Production (USD) |
Fresno | $7,887,583,790 |
Kern | $7,446,152,000 |
Tulare | $7,213,303,400 |
Kings | $2,351,938,000 |
Madera | $2,085,474,000 |
