The Maddy Institute and the California Water Institute at Fresno State will hold an agriculture summit in a couple weeks.
The summit will focus on how water users coexist in California.
The big picture: Stakeholders from across California will meet at the summit on Sep. 4, which will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- California Department of Food and Agriculture Secretary Karen Ross and California Secretary of Natural Resources Wade Crowfoot will be the keynote speakers.
- The open house style event will also host a diverse lineup of panelists to offer insights into research, policy developments and practical solutions in water resource management.
Go deeper: Some of the topics that the summit will focus on include the implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, data transparency in water management, advancements in water storage and conveyance infrastructure and the importance of building alliances across different interest groups.
