Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi underwent successful hip replacement surgery in Germany after sustaining an injury from a fall during a trip to Luxembourg.
The big picture: The surgery took place at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center at Landstuhl Army Base, following her fall on a flight of stairs while on a trip to Western Europe with a congressional delegation.
