Scrivner agrees to child support payments in court

The public got the first look at former Kern County Supervisor Zack Scrivner months after he disappeared after an incident at his Tehachapi home in April.

Former Kern County Supervisor Zack Scrivner made his first public appearance since being accused of sexually assaulting one of his children.

Scrivner attended a court hearing on Monday via Zoom regarding child support payments to his wife, Christina Scrivner, who has filed for divorce.

The big picture: Although Scrivner did not speak at the hearing, he agreed to pay $2,947 to his wife on a monthly basis, retroactive to May 1.

  • He currently has a temporary restraining order against him, preventing him from contacting his children.
  • Scrivner did not disclose his location during the hearing.

What we’re watching: Scrivner will appear in court on Dec. 2 for a hearing on the child support payments and on a domestic violence restraining order.

Flashback: Scrivner resigned last week a few months after Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood said he was stabbed by one of his children for sexually assaulting one of his children.

  • The California Attorney General’s Office is investigating the incident, and no criminal charges have been filed against Scrivner.
