West Hills Community College District hires Pimentel as next Chancellor

Fresno City College’s President is moving back to the district where he worked for nearly two decades.

The West Hills Community College District has selected its new Chancellor. 

Dr. Robert Pimentel was named as the district’s next Chancellor on Monday. 

The big picture: Current Chancellor Dr. Kristin Clark is retiring at the end of July after three years leading the district. 

  • Pimentel joins West Hills Community College District from Fresno City College, where he was the President for the past two years. 
  • He is not new to West Hills Community College District, having worked at both campuses and the district office for nearly 18 years before moving to Fresno City College. 
  • Pimentel will start as Chancellor on Aug. 1.
