Clovis Unified finalized its new boundary map as it prepares to welcome the new Clovis South High School to the district.
Wednesday, the Clovis Unified Governing Board approved the new map on a 6-0 vote, with Trustee Hugh Awtrey absent.
The big picture: The new boundaries will take effect in August 2025, when the Terry Bradley Educational Center (TBEC) opens.
- TBEC, which includes Clovis South, will have a phased opening with seventh through ninth graders starting in the fall of 2025 and will be fully operational by 2028.
- Elementary schools that will feed into Clovis South will be Boris, Fancher Creek, Hirayama, Temperance-Kutner and Young, all of which are currently in the Clovis East area.
- Gettysburg Elementary will also switch from the Clovis High School area to feed into Clovis East.
- All other high school areas will lose some neighborhoods to other areas, and an address lookup for the new areas can be found here.
