Students at one set of Central Valley colleges will have an opportunity to earn some money if they receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
West Hills Community College District announced that it will give $250 to all fully vaccinated students.
Students must be registered at West Hills for the fall 2021 semester to be eligible for the incentive, and they must upload proof of their vaccination to the West Hills Safe App by Nov. 1.
The school said the West Hills Safe App is designed to help the district manage daily COVID-19 health screening and contact tracing.
In order to help students receive the vaccine, West Hills has partnered with Aria Health and the Kings County Department of Health to run vaccine clinics for students, employees and the general public.
West Hills Coalinga will host a vaccine clinic on Aug. 17 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the campus theater.
West Hills Lemoore also has clinics scheduled.
