Two employees at California State prisons in the Central Valley have tested positive for COVID-19.
One employee who works at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in Corcoran tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation announced.
Kings County has yet to report any positive cases of coronavirus, as of Thursday afternoon.
The other employee who tested positive for coronavirus works at Wasco State Prison in Kern County.
Kern County has 33 cases of coronavirus as of Thursday night.
In total, 10 employees and one inmate in California prisons have tested positive for coronavirus, according to a report from KGET-TV in Bakersfield.
