Fresno State fans will be able to watch the Bulldogs on CBS when the university joins the Pac-12 in 2026.
The revamped Pac-12 announced a long-term media deal with CBS on Monday for football and men’s basketball.
The big picture: CBS will air Pac-12 games when the revamped conference launches next year and will carry the deal through the 2030-2031 season.
- The deal will see three regular season football games air on CBS in addition to the conference championship game.
- Other regular season games will air on CBS Sports Network.
- The deal also includes three men’s basketball games and the men’s basketball championship game on CBS, with other regular season games also airing on CBS Sports Network.
- Every game that will air on the over-the-air CBS station will also stream on Paramount+.
- The financial details of the deal were not announced.
What we’re watching: The Pac-12 plans to announce other media partners at a later date.
- The deal also sets up the Pac-12 to bring in an eighth member for football in order to meet NCAA requirements for conferences. According to multiple reports on Monday, the Pac-12 is engaged with Texas State to bring the Bobcats into the conference.
What they’re saying: “Our goal with this process was to find transformational partnerships for the new Pac-12, and throughout our discussions and time together it became more and more clear that a partnership with CBS Sports would be just that,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould. “I am thankful to the team at CBS Sports for seeing our vision and investing in our shared future as we build, launch and realize a new Pac-12 together.”
State of play: The new Pac-12 deal with CBS looks similar to the deal that the Mountain West – the conference Fresno State is departing from after this year – currently has.
- For the 2025 football season, CBS will broadcast three Mountain West games, with the remaining regular season games going to CBS Sports Network and the FOX Sports family.
