The Wonderful Company has opened its $1 million Central Valley Community Grants application period.
The company has awarded over $8.5 million in grants to 142 nonprofits and 165 schools in the San Joaquin Valley through its 10-year history of the program.
The big picture: Organizations that have programs that serve the communities of Avenal, Delano, Del Rey, Firebaugh, Lost Hills, Mendota, Sanger, Shafter and Wasco are encouraged to apply.
- The Wonderful Philanthropy team will hold a virtual information session on July 10 at 2 p.m. Anyone interested can register for it here.
- All applications need to be submitted by Aug. 31 in order to be considered.
Zoom in: Grants can go to local governments, nonprofits, schools and faith-based organizations.
- They can apply for grants in the categories of health and wellness, recreation, art, social services and community beautification for up to $50,000 for one year and up to $100,000 for two years.
