Amy Aller Cobb Aller has been appointed as the Interim City Clerk for the City of Fresno.
The Fresno City Council voted unanimously during closed session on Thursday to appoint Aller to the position.
Driving the news: Fresno is on the look for a permanent City Clerk after Clerk Todd Stermer announced that he is leaving to be the clerk for the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors.
- Stermer served as Fresno’s clerk for the last four years and leaves the city after 17 years in total.
- Aller takes over in an interim position after joining the Fresno City Attorney’s Office in June, where she has been a special assistant.
- dShe was a prosecutor for the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office for the previous decade before joining the city.
