Rapper Tory Lanez, who is serving time in a Tehachapi prison, was attacked by a fellow inmate and sent to the hospital on Monday.
Lanez is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in the foot.
The big picture: The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) said that Lanez was stabbed in the prison yard of California Correctional Institution Tehachapi.
- Prison staff immediately responded to the stabbing and began medical aid.
- The CDCR said Lanez was taken to a local hospital. TMZ reported that he was treated at a hospital in Bakersfield.
Flashback: Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Aug. 8, 2023, for assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
- He also was hit with an enhancement of use of a firearm and the manufacturing, sale or possession of a firearm not recognizable as a firearm.
- The shooting took place as they were leaving a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in Hollywood Hills in 2020.
