A Bakersfield man pleaded guilty in federal court to manufacturing a destructive device that was found at a community pool.

- On July 4 and July 5, 2022, Hunt constructed a destructive device containing metal screws and explosives.

- Hunt had been previously convicted for two robberies and a burglary, making him prohibited from manufacturing firearms, which includes destructive or explosive devices.
- Hunt has been detained since September 2024 and is considered a danger to the community.
