Allegiant launches Fresno to Portland route

Central Valley travelers now have another option to fly to the Pacific Northwest.

Allegiant began offering nonstop service from Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) to Portland International Airport (PDX) on Thursday.

The airline is offering one-way fares for as low as $42 as it kicks off the service.

The big picture: Allegiant will operate the route up to twice weekly and also offers travelers savings on rental cars and hotels.

What they’re saying: “We look forward to connecting passengers in Fresno to Portland, Oregon,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s Chief Commercial Officer. “This region has been overlooked by other carriers, and we are thrilled to open the door to new vacation options for travelers. Allegiant is committed to providing budget-friendly options that allow our passengers to customize their dream vacation.”

  • Fresno Director of Aviation Henry Thompson said, “Allegiant’s new seasonal service to Portland brings more options to our region’s travelers during the busy summer season and opens an air gateway for Portland area residents to take advantage of all the City of Fresno and the Central Valley has to offer including our nearby national parks. We appreciate our long-standing airline partnership with Allegiant and their commitment to growing air service in the Fresno market.”
