Valley Children’s receives $2 million gift from Boswell Foundation

The donation will support the hospital’s most urgent needs throughout the year.

Valley Children’s Hospital announced Tuesday that it is receiving a $2 million gift from the James G. Boswell Foundation to support the areas of greatest need.

This latest donation brings the James G. Boswell Foundation’s total contributions over the last three years to $5.5 million.

The big picture: The $2 million donation will benefit the hospitals’ Children’s Fund. Valley Children’s Healthcare said the Children’s Fund directs resources to the areas of greatest need.

  • The hospital said it will stay in contact with the James G. Boswell Foundation throughout the year to share the specific impact of the gift.

What they’re saying: “We are deeply grateful to the James G. Boswell Foundation for this extraordinary investment in the health and future of our children,” said Valley Children’s CEO Todd Suntrapak. “Their generosity strengthens our ability to respond to the most urgent needs across our network and ensures that every child who walks through our doors receives world-class care. We are honored by their continued partnership and inspired by their commitment to helping kids across the Central Valley.”

  • Cameron Boswell, the Vice President of Finance and Administration for the J.G. Boswell Company, said Valley Children’s aligns closely with the company’s values of compassion, responsibility and service to others.
  • “Valley Children’s doesn’t just treat illness; it supports entire families during some of their most difficult moments, and that impact is both immediate and lasting,” Boswell said. “This gift represents more than financial support. It reflects our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow up healthy, have access to excellent care and thrive.”
