Calif. Sheriff slams Newsom over “blackmail” threat to enforce shutdown orders

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco issued a statement Friday pushing back against Gov. Gavin Newsom’s threats against local jurisdictions failing to enforce the newly-issued shelter-in-place order.

Bianco compared Newsom’s threat to those the Governor contested when issued by President Donald Trump.

The southern California Sheriff derided Newsom’s posture as a “dictatorial attitude toward California residents while dining in luxury, traveling, keeping his business open and sending his kids to in-person private schools.”
